The Dinosaurs
Today, on March 6, 2026, Netflix has released the four-part documentary series "The Dinosaurs" worldwide.
The series is produced by the team behind Life on Our Planet, along with the VFX specialists from Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). The visual implementation sets new standards in the photorealistic depiction of prehistoric ecosystems. The journey through the 170 million years of dinosaur dominance is accompanied by the distinctive narration of Morgan Freeman.
Unlike broader nature documentaries, this miniseries focuses exclusively on the era of dinosaurs – from their humble beginnings in the Triassic to the global extinction event at the end of the Cretaceous period.
