Delays for Valguero and Elderclaw
Originally, the Valguero Ascended DLC along with the Elderclaw creature was planned for Fall 2025. However, a Community Crunch announced a delay to October 7, 2025 to ensure extra polish and stability. Community speculation suggests the date could slip again, with some expecting a minor further delay.
Elderclaw: A forest guardian, half protector, half predator. Standard taming does not work—taming requires rare saplings and trust-building instead. The DLC will be released as a free expansion, but Elderclaw is part of the paid Lost Colony Expansion Pass (later also available separately as a “Fantastic Tame”).
Megaraptor on Valguero Ascended
Chosen by the players: The Megaraptor makes its debut on Valguero Ascended—with one goal: domination. Keep your eyes open, Survivors. This relentless hunter is ready to claw its way to the top of the food chain.
Trust me, you don’t want one of these creepy killers hunting you. The Megaraptor picks off its victims one by one, like the villain in a classic slasher flick. Once you’ve been targeted, it drives away your friends and allies with its unnerving glare. You won’t notice it until it’s right on top of you—and then it pounces, pins you down, and scatters everyone nearby. A true jump scare! Your death only makes it stronger, allowing it to shrug off any attempt at vengeance.
Tamed
Before you can tame a Megaraptor, you must earn its respect. Find and claim its grisly altar of carcasses and keep the enraged owner at bay with fire. Always stay alert, as this opponent fights obsessively for its trophies. If you succeed in breaking one, you’ll share the spoils of all its victims—and gain a ruthless assassin that isolates and eliminates your enemies. But beware: Megaraptors are loners. Among their own kind, they lose their deadly efficiency.
Lost Colony & Story Cinematic
While waiting for the official release of Valguero, a Lost Colony Story Cinematic has been revealed—produced by the well-known anime studio MAPPA. The cinematic offers a preview of the narrative content tied to the upcoming Lost Colony DLC—likely with connections to ARK 2.
Community Creature Submission for Genesis Part 1
The next creature submission starts on October 10, 2025 and ends on October 24. Voting will then run until November 4. The winner will be announced in the Community Crunch on November 7.
This creature will be implemented for Genesis Part 1—a map featuring simulated biomes ranging from ocean trenches to swamps, volcanoes, and even the lunar surface.
- The creature must be an extinct real-world animal (dinosaurs, reptiles, mammals, etc.).
- Submissions should include images, wiki links, or artworks.
Roadmap & Timeline for 2025 / 2026
The current roadmap is clearer than before but remains flexible. Planned milestones:
- December 2025: Lost Colony DLC (paid story DLC, with lore and connections to ARK 2)
- April 2026: Genesis Part 1 with free expansion + community creature
- August 2026: Genesis Part 2
- December 2026: Fjordur Ascended
- 2027: Additional maps such as Crystal Isles, Lost Island, etc.
