Extra Life 2026 - Wildcard Logo
In 2026, Studio Wildcard is participating for the twelfth time in the Extra Life charity campaign to support sick children. As a direct incentive for players, the developer is linking the fundraising goal to up to four comprehensive overhauls of classic creatures (TLCs) for ARK: Survival Ascended. Which creatures are ultimately reworked is decided by the community through their donations.
What is Extra Life?
Extra Life is a well-established initiative within the gaming community supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All proceeds raised by Studio Wildcard's official team go directly to the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. The hospital covers more than 20 pediatric specialties and houses, among other facilities, the region's first specialized pediatric emergency room. Over the past eleven years, the ARK community has raised a total of more than 1.2 million US dollars for this cause.
Dino TLCs as Milestones
For ARK: Survival Ascended, Wildcard is tying the charity event to tangible in-game content. Every $40,000 raised unlocks a Tender Loving Care (TLC) update for an older Island creature. Reaching the maximum total goal of $160,000 will fully modernize four creatures. Eligible are tameable creatures from the original map The Island that can either be ridden or carried as shoulder pets. The final winners will be announced in stages starting November 13, 2026, after the campaign concludes.
Current Donation Status
As of October 31, 2026, at 09:55 AM, the total donations stand at $60,281 of the targeted $160,000. This represents approximately 37.7 percent of the overall goal.

The first milestone has thus already been reached, guaranteeing one overhaul. Just under $20,000 is currently needed to unlock the second TLC.
Interim Creature Voting Results
The ranking for the desired overhauls is based on allocated donation votes and remains highly dynamic. Currently, the Mosasaur leads the pack, closely followed by the Liopleurodon in second place, the Brontosaurus in third, and the Allosaurus in fourth.
This ranking is merely a snapshot. Through targeted large donations, the standings can shift at any time until the Extra Life event officially concludes. For instance, former frontrunners like the Titanosaur and Pulmonoscorpius were only recently pushed out of the top four spots.
