The Boaratos is set to release in August 2026 as part of the final Astraeos update, which introduces the new island Helianthos and an expanded underwater biome. The concept of this creature is based on a design by DragonHeart (Arkology: Overseer’s Experiments Mod). At nearly twice the size of a Daeodon, this fiery colossus not only uses its mighty tusks to clear trees, but also sets itself on fire when enraged.

Studio Wildcard is expanding the ecosystem of ARK: Survival Ascended with two distinctive creatures that are exclusively available via paid DLCs. While the Burrowbuck marks the first creature of the "Fantastic Tames" pack, the Tidepup is integrated into the maritime expansion "Tides of Fortune" within Bob's Tall Tales.

The community has decided: The winner of the latest Community Creature Vote for ARK: Survival Ascended is the Palaeoctopus – a prehistoric octopus that will soon appear on Genesis Part 1 thanks to its unique features. The update is currently scheduled for April 2026 or later.
