Stranded on a mysterious island as a naked man/woman freezing and hungry, you must hunt, gather, craft items, plant fruit and build a shelter to survive. Use skill and cunning to kill, hatch, and ride live dinosaurs and primeval creatures on ARK, and team up with hundreds of players or play locally!

The following features have been in the game since the Day 1 Early Access release. We have many more aspects and refinements planned for ongoing development. Here's what you can experience in ARK so far:

Rhyniognatha is an extinct genus of arthropods and is often considered the oldest flying insect. Named after the place where it was found, Rhynie in Scotland, and the Greek word "gnathos" (the pine).

It is said to add an original style of creature, using a species almost forgotten in ARK: Insects! It's also a way to make the sky more dangerous, even if you've already tamed a flying mount! Plus, once it's tamed, it becomes a mount in the endgame! This creature was suggested by Zichfried.

Featuring an unparalled voice cast with the talents of Michelle Yeoh, Gerard Butler, Russell Crowe, and Executive Produced by Vin Diesel, ARK: The Animated Series is an adaptation of the hit video game.

The Winter Wonderland patch on December 14th will introduce brand new narrative content - featuring actors Maddy Madden (The Wheel of Time) and David Tennant (Doctor Who) reprising their respective roles as Helena Walker and Sir Edmund Rockwell.

All of Helena’s and Rockwell’s Dossiers and Explorer Notes will also be voiced by the actors, as will survivors’ epic confrontation versus Rockwell on ARK Aberration.  The highly requested Scorched Earth ascension will also make its debut!
